
According to the Bank of Korea (BOK), the M2, or broad money, reached 3,178.4 trillion won (USD2.9 trillion) in November, increased 9.7 percent from a year earlier.
The money supply continued to increase as the BOK left its benchmark interest rate unaffected at a record low of 0.50 percent since May.
The M1, or narrow money, augmented 26.8 percent in November from a year ago.
